Alexander Graham Bell said, “When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”
The Blooms to Brews Marathon had such a door closed and even though it was hard to look past the closed door we continued to search for the open door and found it.
Columbia Fruit, LLC. in Woodland, WA has graciously opened their facility to this Boston Marathon qualifying event, so it can take place on April 26, 2020.
The new location offers you onsite parking, plenty of room to accommodate many participants, vendors, medical and we have two driveways. The North driveway is for vehicle access and the South for the race.
As you come out of Columbia Fruit, LLC you will be greeted by the Columbia River on the Dike Road many of you are familiar with. All the courses are still on the flat, fast scenic roads you have always experienced. We adapted the courses for our new location, but you will love these courses like you always have.
We are working on updating the website. The updates will show you lodging, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and wine bars, grocery stores and gas stations.
We are looking into lower cost lodging options and a social gathering event the night before which may be available due to the new location. This will be great for groups of participants coming in so they can all be together. Stay tuned as we continue this conversation.
Get Bold Events is looking into having showers onsite so anyone wanting to rinse off after the race can do so. Again, stay tuned as we work in this for you.
You can see we are making a few wonderful changes and this door may be better than the door that closed on us.
Register today and join us in 2020! This will be epic!
