Team member 1, runs the first 10K leg. Then tags their teammate's wrist with a cool slap band, just before team member 2 takes off to run the 5K leg. Does this sound like fun? Grab your running buddy and make this your Resolution!

Get Bold Events, a local race organizer in Battleground, will once again host a free Thanksgiving 5k and 10k River Run at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28 at Hantwick Park, 23100 N.E. Hantwick Road, Yacolt. The race is on a paved trail with views of the Lewis River.
Race organizers are requesting that attendees bring canned food or monetary donations for the North County Community Food Bank.
“This is our way of giving back on the biggest running day of the year,” Get Bold Founder Elba Benzler Jr. said. “In the past we have donated over 900 pounds of food. We have a goal this year to donate 1000 pounds of non-perishable food.”
Post-race hot cocoa, cookies and music will be included. There will be no medals or timing, so that participants can focus on fun and fitness.
“Come out and help us reach this wonderful goal to help those in need this time of the year,” Benzler said.
